Abstract

Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan perilaku pemilahan sampah siswa SDN 04 Gumukmas, Kabupaten Jember, melalui pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Kondisi awal menunjukkan rendahnya kesadaran siswa terhadap pemilahan sampah akibat minimnya edukasi lingkungan dan ketiadaan fasilitas tempat sampah terpilah di sekolah. Program dilaksanakan selama 39 hari (14 Oktober - 21 November 2025) dengan sasaran kurang lebih 50 siswa kelas 3-5, meliputi kegiatan sosialisasi interaktif menggunakan media kardus dan miniatur sampah, simulasi praktik pemilahan, pengadaan tempat sampah terpilah, serta pendampingan berkelanjutan. Hasil menunjukkan 71,4% siswa mencapai pemahaman kategori tertinggi dengan perubahan perilaku nyata dalam membuang sampah sesuai kategori organik, anorganik, dan B3. Lingkungan sekolah menjadi lebih bersih dan siswa mulai menerapkan pemilahan sampah di rumah sebagai agen perubahan. Program ini membuktikan efektivitas pendekatan PAR dalam membentuk perilaku peduli lingkungan sejak dini melalui kombinasi edukasi, penyediaan fasilitas, dan pembentukan kebiasaan berkelanjutan yang dapat direplikasi di sekolah dasar lain.
